Send a copyright notice

info@crazygamesdiary.com

Use the subject “Copyright notice” and include the information below. If the issue involves an embedded game, its title and source URL, if known, can also help us find the material.

What to include in your notice

The rights holder or an authorized representative should send a written notice containing the following information:

  1. Your signature. Sign the notice physically or electronically as the rights holder or a person authorized to represent that owner.
  2. The protected work. Identify the copyrighted work involved. For multiple works at one website, you may supply a representative list.
  3. The disputed material and its location. Describe what you want removed or disabled and provide enough detail to locate it, such as the exact page URL on our website or arcade.
  4. Your contact details. Include your name, mailing address, telephone number and an email address where we can reach you.
  5. Your good-faith statement. State that you believe in good faith that the reported use lacks authorization from the rights holder, an authorized representative or the law.
  6. Accuracy and authority. Confirm that your notice is accurate and state, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right involved.

You may use the U.S. Copyright Office’s sample notice to help organize your request. A game name or a search term alone may not identify the specific material you want reviewed.

How we handle reports

We review copyright reports promptly and act expeditiously on notices that substantially meet the applicable requirements, including removing material or disabling access where appropriate under 17 U.S.C. § 512.

When a report identifies the work, the disputed material and a way to contact the sender but lacks other necessary information, we will take reasonable steps to obtain the missing details. Where applicable, we will promptly notify the person who supplied removed material and explain the counter-notice process.

If your material was removed by mistake

You may email a counter-notice to info@crazygamesdiary.com if you believe your material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification. Use the subject “Copyright counter-notice” and include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal or access was disabled.
  3. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that removal or disabling resulted from a mistake or from identifying the wrong material.
  4. Your name, postal address and telephone number.
  5. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court covering your address. If your address is outside the United States, consent to jurisdiction in any U.S. judicial district where the service provider may be found.
  6. Your agreement to accept service of process from the original complainant or that person’s agent.

Where the statutory counter-notice process applies, we will promptly forward a valid counter-notice to the original complainant and restore access between 10 and 14 business days after receiving it, unless we first receive notice of a filed court action seeking an order to stop infringement involving that material.

The U.S. Copyright Office’s sample counter-notice can help you prepare a response. Your counter-notice, including contact details, may be provided to the original complainant.

Accuracy and repeat infringement

Knowingly making a material false statement about infringement, or about a mistaken removal, can result in liability for resulting damages and legal costs under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Consider legal advice if you are unsure about your rights or a response.

Where we provide user accounts or submission privileges, our policy is to terminate those privileges in appropriate circumstances for repeat copyright infringement.

Links, embedded games and external services

A game listing or embedded player may point to content operated by another provider. Identify the page on our main website or arcade where you encountered the disputed material so we can review our listing, link or embed.

Removing material from a separate provider’s website requires action by the provider controlling that copy. Our review concerns content and access points that we control; a third-party source does not make an infringement report irrelevant.

Contact details and other questions

Copyright notices and counter-notices may be shared with affected parties or service providers as needed to address the report or meet legal requirements. Include the contact information required for your notice and avoid unrelated sensitive information.
